Kitdesk is a software product developed and operated by DOMISSOUND Co, a UK-based audio engineering and hire systems business.

For the purposes of UK GDPR, DOMISSOUND Co is the data controller for personal data collected through the Kitdesk website (kitdesk.co.uk) and waitlist.

2. What data we collect

We do not collect or store payment card details — these are handled directly by our payment processor.

2.3 Data you enter into the Kitdesk console

When using the Kitdesk console (the hire management system itself), you may enter data about your own business, assets, jobs, customers and colleagues. This data is stored in your account database and is yours — we are the data processor, not the controller, for this data. Your obligations to your own customers under UK GDPR are separate from ours to you.

2.4 Technical data

We may collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type and pages accessed. This is used solely for security and performance monitoring and is not used to identify individuals.

We will never use your data to serve you advertising, sell to third parties, or contact you with anything unrelated to Kitdesk.

All data collected through kitdesk.co.uk is stored in MySQL databases hosted by Krystal Hosting, a UK-based hosting provider operating UK data centres. Data does not leave the United Kingdom.

Krystal Hosting is ISO 27001 certified and operates under UK GDPR. Their privacy policy is available at krystal.uk/legal/privacy.

Email communications are sent via our own mail server hosted within the same UK infrastructure.

7. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

9. Cookies and tracking

The Kitdesk marketing site (kitdesk.co.uk) does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics that identify individual users. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party behavioural tracking.

The Kitdesk console (the hire management system) uses a session cookie to maintain your login. This is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not require consent under UK PECR.

We take reasonable and appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including:

No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the ICO as required by UK GDPR (within 72 hours of becoming aware).

11. Children

Kitdesk is a business software product intended for use by adults operating hire companies. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes that affect how we handle your data, we will notify waitlist members and subscribers by email before the changes take effect.
